What is a Lifetime Pre-Save Page?

A Lifetime Pre-Save Page is a powerful tool that allows fans to automatically pre-save all your future releases on Spotify and Apple Music with a single click.

When a fan pre-saves on this page:

They’re authorizing Smart Noise to save any future music you release to their Spotify or Apple Music library.
You can collect their email and/or phone number.
You can redirect them to a thank-you page, playlist, or special offer.
You can also send them an email notification every time a new release goes live.

This is ideal if you want to:

Turn casual listeners into long-term fans
Stop building a new pre-save page for every song
Automate your release strategy

How long does a Lifetime Pre-Save last?

A fan’s Spotify connection automatically saves your future releases for as long as that connection stays active. In July 2026, Spotify changed how long that lasts: a fan’s authorization now expires six months after they first connect, measured from their original sign-in. This is a Spotify platform change that applies to every app that connects to Spotify — not just Smart Noise, and not just pre-save tools.

Fans reconnect in one tap. Every release notification email now includes a one-click reconnect button. When a fan taps it and re-authorizes, their six-month window restarts. This is already live on your account — nothing to switch on.
Your fan data stays intact. Only the Spotify authorization expires — your fan list, collected emails, and Fan CRM records are never lost. The reconnect button is how the Spotify permission comes back.

In practice, a Lifetime Pre-Save list now reflects the fans still actively engaging with your releases rather than everyone who ever pre-saved. Fans who keep opening your release emails stay connected; dormant fans lapse at the six-month mark. Releasing more often gives fans more chances to reconnect, but it doesn’t guarantee they will.

✅ What You Need to Set One Up

Unlike Classic Pre-Saves, you don’t need a release date or a Spotify URI/ISRC.

To publish a Lifetime Pre-Save Page, all you need is:

A square cover image (1:1 ratio recommended)
Your artist Spotify profile link

Because this page is tied to your artist profile, it keeps saving your new releases for every fan whose Spotify connection is active (see “How long does a Lifetime Pre-Save last?” below).

Important: This only works if your distributor delivers your new songs to Spotify under the same artist profile.

🔘 Pre-Save Buttons

Fans can pre-save you on:

Spotify (required)
Apple Music (optional)

This action applies to your artist profile—so each time you release something new, it will appear in the fan’s library automatically.

What the fan sees:

Before they pre-save: Spotify and/or Apple pre-save buttons.
After they pre-save: “Listen Now” replaces the pre-save buttons (for that fan only).

Note: This “Listen Now” button only appears for the fan who completed the pre-save—it’s not a global link swap.

You can choose to:

Use Smart Noise’s default notification email
Write your own personalized email with your voice, tone, and link

Where to edit:
Go to the Services step → Toggle on “Custom Message” → Edit your email content

Note: The email will only go out if your distributor has added the release to your linked artist profile.

🔀 Redirect After Pre-Save

After a fan pre-saves, you can redirect them to any link—this helps keep them engaged or reward them.

Go to the Services step → Toggle on “Redirect fans to a custom URL after pre-save” → Paste in your URL

Your Lifetime Pre-Save page stays live and keeps collecting more superfans—no need to build a new page
